Truth be told, it is rare that I get to do a maternity session. Weddings sort of rule the roost around here at Sweet Pea. But when I first started off in this venture, it was with the intent of photographing Family Portraits. Of any sort. Maternity included. So this was like going back to my roots.

This is Maia {pronounced Maya}. She will be here at the beginning of December.
Now, usually new clients looking for maternity photos are incredibly uncomfortable.
And I totally get it. I mean, I am going to come to your house & ask you to undress yourself for money.
Knowing this, I always do my best to put people at ease. Because I sympathize & understand.
....So if the women are uncomfortable, imagine the men!!!! Most husbands are usually off hiding somewhere in the other room under the table, only to emerge when they are summoned. But not Edgar. He is a Superstar Husband & did such a great job supporting his beautiful wife & being my stand in, hands on assistant.
What a Hubster he is!
We went to Carmel to catch the sunset at The Beach. It couldn't have been a nicer afternoon.
It's a beautiful thing. Truly.
